For a brochure on how to read your
meter, contact the office.
-
Our meter
reading schedule is on a cycle basis. Your
meter is scheduled to be read as nearly as
possible on the same day each month, thus
establishing billing periods of
approximately 30 days.
-
While bills
are frequently referred to as being for a
certain month, cycle billing produces a bill
which usually is for parts of two
consecutive months.
-
Occasionally circumstances beyond our
control prevent us from reading some
meters. Such circumstances include weather,
illness, accident and even the customer.
-
Where
meters are located inside, please arrange
for someone to let your meter reader in to
take accurate readings.
-
When, for
any reason, the meter cannot be read, an
estimated bill is prepared. When an
actual meter reading is made, the bill is
based on total consumption between actual
meter readings less the amount estimated and
billed previously.
-
When comparing one of your bills with
another, be sure to note the number of days
of service shown on the bills.
